The Byzantine Bazaar

(1)
Byzantine bazaar
Of instant emotions
Did I fall into

Hidden faces
Of peddlers old
& young

Gliding with
Surreal ease

through

Room after
mesmerizing room

Strange
Was this bazar
I sank into

Where
gypsies of peace
galloped on midnights horses

intimate anonymity tormenting
seekers of a false dawn

among
the ruins of
what might have been
in
That Byzantine bazaar of instant emotions

(2)

Imaginary
light casting
Shadows on command

In
room after
Strangely lit room

That I did float past,

Seeking, probing, revelling

Laughing
selling and buying,
soothing and provoking,

with a Faustian fluency
nourished
with lifetimes of weariness

Observer was I
of my intoxicated acting

Lunacy
Of
the cyncial rational, reverberating

through
the spaces
of uncontrolled decadence

In

That Byzantine Bazaar of Instant Emotions

(3)

The odour
of tormented regret
wafting,

swaying to
the inner rhytmn

of
my forgotten desires

the shadowy
confines of
my limitlessless

holding
me in helpless thrall

As
I burnt
At the stake of collective hypnosis

a
willing accomplice
in a thrall
of

horrified self knowledge

demon
after wispy demon flying out

Oh,deep
did i sink

in that
Byzantine Bazaar of instant Emotions
